The BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Award in Child Development curriculum at New Line Learning Academy develops knowledgeable, compassionate and reflective learners with a secure understanding of child development from birth to five years. Through a broad and progressive curriculum, students explore children's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development while applying their learning through practical investigations, real-world scenarios and unique opportunities to observe practice within our Tiger Cubs Nursery.

Through a combination of theoretical learning and vocational experiences, students develop communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills while gaining an understanding of safeguarding, inclusive practice and the needs of young children. These authentic experiences prepare students for further study, apprenticeships and careers within the early years, education and health sectors.
